A programme of workshops and events at King's College London exploring the role of the arts in a healthcare context.
On 2 and 3 November 2018, charity Rosetta Life will host a programme of workshops and events at King's College London exploring the role of the arts in a health care context. The programme features presentations, film screenings, workshops and discussions alongside a performance of Stroke Odysseys, choreographed by Ben Duke, at King's Greenwood Theatre on 3 November.
Stroke Odysseys is an arts in health initiative that offers a participatory arts practice combining movement, music and song-writing to help participants overcome issues, such as anxiety, depression, and lowered self-esteem, which often hamper stroke recovery.
The programme is aimed at dancers, artists and practitioners, as well as those working in the health care community and those living with a neurological illness. Led by practitioners working in the field, participants will gain a deeper knowledge of using dance and the arts as a form of rehabilitation.
More information about the programme can be found here.
Tickets for both the workshops and performance on 2 and 3 November can be booked here.
Tickets for the performance on 3 November can be booked here.
