Strong set of improvements highlighted in National Student Survey
The School of Politics and Economics is pleased to share a series of strong improvements across all areas in the National Student Survey (NSS).

The NSS runs every year and is open to students in the final year of their course. They are an important way to help the school and the university understand what matters most to you, what’s working and where we need to do better. When you share your experience through surveys like these, you can help shape a better King’s for everyone.
What the results show
This year, almost 300 students across the Department of Political Economy (DPE) and the Department of European and International Studies (EIS) completed the survey, a response rate of about 70 per cent.
The results show areas of progress made over the last 12 months as well as areas in which we can continue to work on improvements.
Overall, the Department of Political Economy saw a 6.9 per cent increase in positivity score compared to 2024 (74.7 per cent to 81.5 per cent). The Department of European and International Studies saw a 5.5 per cent increase in positivity score compared to 2024 (76.4 per cent to 82.2 per cent).
Longer term, we will be working hard to act on feedback and make improvements to our assessment and module information in EIS, and our employability and skills offering in DPE.

Your feedback is invaluable in shaping a fulfilling university experience. By participating in surveys, focus groups, student representative meetings, and KCLSU campaigns, your voice drives positive change.
We want to thank everyone who has given feedback during their time at King’s so far and made their voices heard. Whether it’s completing the NSS, your module evaluations or letting your student representatives know your experience, we hope you will continue to share, so we can continue to make improvements and make your time at King’s even better.
