Students in the Department of Culture, Media & Creative Industries (CMCI) have worked with leading creative industry practitioners to explore the processes and challenges behind creating an exhibition in the cultural sector.

The student-led Creative Careers Committee planned and organised the event, inviting practitioners from across the sector to join the panel for their 'Creating Exhibitions: from ideas to execution' event, which was held this week.

The panel included Jill Cook, acting keeper of the Department of Britain, Europe and Prehistory at The British Museum; Jennifer Caroline Ellis, head of projects and development at Edouard Malingue Gallery & Co-founder of Young Collectors Collective (YCC); Eloise Maxwell, public relations and communications manager at the National Army Museum; and Catherine Pütz, head of touring exhibitions at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

The event also offered students the  opportunity to network and ask questions about creating exhibitions and careers in the cultural sector.
