University Secretary & Director of Assurance appointed
Dr Sinéad Critchley has been appointed as University Secretary & Director of Assurance at King’s from 1 July 2024.
Dr Sinéad Critchley has been appointed as University Secretary & Director of Assurance at King’s from 1 July 2024.
Sinéad is currently the Director of Governance and Assurance (Secretary to the Council) at the University of Kent. During her time at the University of Kent, Sinéad developed the governance strategy for the University, bringing together oversight of the governance super-structure of the University, and embedding governance frameworks to support the strategy while ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance obligations were met.
In addition, Sinéad brings a depth of experience from her time at University College Dublin where she held the post of Director of University Governance.
Crucial to our continued success is the effective running of governance across King’s and working closely with the Council and Committees. Sinéad’s expertise in governance and business assurance and experience in the Higher Education sector will ensure we can continue to provide a thriving environment for our academics to research and teach, and an exciting place for our students to learn and become changemakers and leaders.
