The gallant quizzers of King’s College London have bowed out of this year’s University Challenge.

An earlier defeat at the hands of Balliol College Oxford (145-95) meant it was the end of the road for the King’s quartet.
Former War Studies and History student Sam Jackson, was the team captain and was joined by Louis Triggs, who is studying politics, philosophy and law, Simon Xu, studying for a PhD in cardiovascular science, and Grace Weaver, studying medicine.
The King’s team had impressed earlier in the competition with victories over Glasgow (175-90) and York University, by 170 points to 100, earlier this year.
