Abi Riley is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in GeoAI and Spatial Epidemiology within Dr Sabrina Li's UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship. Their research aims to develop scalable frameworks to understand how socio-economic, ecological, and historical inequalities shape health outcomes, with applications to pandemic preparedness and infectious disease dynamics.

Riley holds an MMath in Pure Mathematics (Durham University) and a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics (Imperial College London), where they combined Bayesian spatiotemporal modelling with longitudinal cohort analysis to examine air pollution exposure and mental health in adolescent populations. Their work bridges many disciplines, tying together quantitative modelling methods within a framework for socio-economic factors, inequalities, and real-world uncertainties.
