
Biography
Abi is a Research Associate at the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Health and Social Care Workforce. Before moving into research, Abi worked in elderly care as a home-carer then as a registered nurse, and she is particularly passionate about intergenerational connection and involving lesser heard voices in research. She conducted her PhD in psychology at UCL investigating mindfulness to manage stress, and at HSCWRU she is working on the PRO-Health project, evaluating the appropriateness, acceptability, and impact of homecare workers as proxy healthcare professionals.
Her previous research has primarily involved using mixed methods to evaluate different health and well-being interventions, and she has experience of involvement and engagement in the third sector.
