Biography

Adélia is the Senior Sustainability Research Manager at King’s Sustainability (KS) and responsible for leading the delivery, monitoring and reporting of the several research and innovation aspects of King’s Sustainability Strategy. She manages the University’s internal sustainability seed fund, supports strategic activities (working groups, workshops, capacity building programmes) providing insights to raise institutional understanding and support decision making.

Adélia joined KS in January 2024. She began her career in Brazil as a University Lecturer in Chemistry, and since moving to the UK she has worked at the interface between research, education, communication, public engagement, and knowledge-exchange. She led the activities for the BBSRC-NERC Sustainable Intensification Research Network at Rothamsted. She subsequently became the Programme Manager for the final phase of the Research England Connecting Capability Fund project on One Health approaches for infectious diseases at The Royal Veterinary College.
