Biography

Adélia is the Project Officer for Research for King’s Climate & Sustainability (KCS), a cross-university drive to rapidly scale our response to the climate emergency through our research, education, operations and action. Her role includes providing support and management to the Working Group, seed-fund calls for climate and sustainability projects, and a programme of research-related activities. She works closely with faculties, institutes and the Research Management & Innovation Directorate teams to ensure activities are successfully developed and delivered.

Adélia joined KCS in January 2024. She began her career in Brazil as a University Lecturer in Chemistry, and since moving to the UK she has worked at the interface between research, education, communication, public engagement, and knowledge-exchange. She led the activities for the BBSRC-NERC Sustainable Intensification Research Network at Rothamsted. She subsequently became the Programme Manager for the final phase of the £1.9m Research England Connecting Capability Fund project on One Health approaches for infectious diseases at The Royal Veterinary College.
