Biography
Agnieszka joined the RECOLLECT 2 team at King's College London as a Research Assistant in August 2024. In this role, she contributes to quantitative projects and supports the work of the qualitative research team. Concurrently, Agnieszka is enrolled in the Master's Mental Health Studies programme at King's.
Her previous research assistant roles were based at the University of Surrey, where she also completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology. She explored various avenues of research, with her undergraduate dissertation examining the determinants of feminists' attitudes towards men. Her research roles were rooted in developmental psychology, based in the Genes and Developmental Variability Lab and the Playing A/Part interdisciplinary project. During this time, she contributed to a systematic review, exploring the effectiveness of participatory arts-based programmes aimed at promoting youth mental well-being.
Outside of research, Agnieszka has worked as a teaching assistant supporting neurodivergent children in a primary school. Additionally, she has facilitated group activities at a non-profit organisation that helps girls and teenagers with ASD build and explore social connections. These experiences sparked her interest in exploring novel and tailored interventions for neurodivergent individuals, particularly enhancing social inclusion and emotional well-being through programmes promoting neurodiversity-affirming practices.
