Biography

As Programmes Manager, Alex works alongside the Senior Education Manager to lead, and line manage a team supporting undergraduate education programmes. He develops, monitors and supports the delivery of high-quality client relationships and student experience, and ensures that service delivery issues are addressed. Alex works closely with all relevant stakeholders and maintains up to date knowledge of programme and College regulations, providing accurate guidance to colleagues and students as required, ensuring that all quality assurance processes are followed. Alex attends department education meetings and offers support for programme development and review activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the team (e.g. induction, performance monitoring, leave records, training etc.)
  • Supporting the undergraduate team with procedural advice, harmonisation of systems and processes in collaboration with the Senior Education Manager and wider Education Team.
  • Contributing towards the design, testing and implementation of new systems and processes and supporting School, Faculty and College projects and education resources such as technology enhanced learning, curriculum management and GTA recruitment.
  • Managing regular reporting on programme, module, and student data.
  • Ensuring the provision of a high level of service to both students and staff.
  • Covering absences for the team and deputising for the Senior Education Manager, as and when required.
