Biography

In this role, Alex is responsible for the operational management and delivery of programme administration for the BSc Natural Sciences programmes. He is also responsible for ensuring that university and faculty priorities are met in accordance with the University’s timelines and policies.

His responsibilities involve overseeing the assessment and progression processes, working with academic leads to ensure quality assurance requirements have been met in the lead up to exam boards, collecting/inputting data for the annual teaching timetable, to manage pastoral care needs and provide frontline support for students and lastly to be a point of contact for the BSc Natural Sciences programmes and to advise/signpost queries from key stakeholders. Other general operational and management duties involve process development/improvement, monitoring and reviewing service delivery and working with stakeholders to develop and implement service improvements.

Alex has worked in the Higher Education sector for over four years, previously working in the Education Teams at Media, Arts and Humanities School and at the Business School at University of Sussex.
