Orthodox Chaplain

Biography

Fr Alexander is our Orthodox Chaplain. He is a priest of the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.

Alexander came to England from Greece in 1971 and trained as an architect in London. He was ordained by the late Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh in 1985, and has been at King's ever since. He is also a Chaplain to the LSE.

In addition to his Chaplaincy work he is the rector of the Parish of St. Peter & St. Paul, Clapham and priest-in-charge of two Orthodox communities in Canterbury and Lamberhurst in Kent.

He is married to Patricia, an Icon painter, and they have four grownup children - Anna, Eleni, Michael and Mary - and, so far, four grandchildren.
