Biography

Alexandra A Deac is a Research Assistant at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London.

Alexandra has a BSc (Hons) in Clinical and Community Psychology, and an MSc in Global Mental Health. She is interested in improving the synergy between research and practice through engaging in bottom-up, participatory research approaches with vulnerable communities.

Her research focuses on the intersections of addiction, mental health, and exploring the application of digital technologies to support better health and mental health outcomes for all.

The Centre for Global Mental Health (CGMH) aims to address inequities by closing the care gap, and to reduce human rights abuses experienced by people living with mental, neurological and substance use conditions, particularly in low resource settings with a view to contributing to a world where all people living with mental, neurological and substance use disorders can live a life of meaning and dignity.
