Biography

My current project examines the theme of silence in 20th-century literature, using the works of Samuel Beckett, Maurice Blanchot, and Roger Laporte as key examples. I hold an MPhil in European, Latin American, and Comparative Literatures and Cultures from the University of Cambridge, as well as a BA in Comparative Literature and a BA in Law from Babeș-Bolyai University. My research interests lie at the intersection of literature, philosophy, and cognitive studies, with a particular focus on how themes of absence and silence shape modernist and postmodernist narratives. Before beginning my doctoral studies, I worked for the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF), one of the largest film festivals in Eastern Europe.
