Alexandra Kosta-Foti

Visiting Lecturer in Law

Biography

Alexandra is a Visiting Lecturer in Law at The Dickson Poon School of Law, King's College London, where she currently teaches Trusts. She is also a Visiting Lecturer and Teaching Associate in Contract Law and Equity and Trusts at Queen Mary University and City St George's, University of London. Concurrently, she also works as a Legal Researcher to Professor Can Yeginsu at 3 Verulam Buildings where she works on commercial litigation, civil fraud, international arbitration (both commercial and investment treaty) and public international law matters.

Alexandra previously read History at King’s College London where she specialised in intellectual history - ranking top of her year and achieving the highest dissertation grade in her cohort. She then completed the Graduate Diploma in Law course at City University where she ranked in the top 3%. Her legal studies have been supported by three merit-based scholarships from the Honourable Society of Gray's Inn; the Prince of Wales, Michael Mustill and Dame Juliet Wheldon scholarships.

Alexandra's primary academic interests cover the breadth of commercial law with a broad interest across the laws of contract, trusts, tort, and unjust enrichment. She is particularly interested in the remedial aspects of private law, the intersection of moral philosophy and economics in the context of private law, as well as banking and corporate law. Her work has been published in numerous law journals and reviews such as the King's Law Journal, Wolters Kluwer Journal of International Arbitration, Cambridge Law Review and LSE Law Review. 

Outside of work, Alexandra is an avid tennis player, non-fiction reader and cinema enthusiast.
