Biography

Alison joined King's in March 2026. She qualified as a registered nurse (RN) in 1997 and then as a registered midwife (RM) in 1999. In her clinical career as a midwife, Alison has worked across all antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal settings. As a community midwife, caseloading midwife, Sure Start midwife and vaccination midwife, her passions lie in supporting families in their Public Health needs.

Her most recent specialist role was as Infant Feeding Lead and coordinator for the UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative. She is excited to be joining the team at King's and supporting the future midwives of tomorrow. She co-leads the Baby Friendly Initiative for the Faculty with Kerstin Lelubre and is co-module lead for the first-year Foundations of Midwifery Practice Module.
