Biography

Dr. Amanda Isaac stands as a distinguished Musculoskeletal Diagnostic & Interventional Radiologist at the acclaimed Guy's and St Thomas' hospitals in the UK. She showcases expertise in Spine, Sports Medicine, and Skeletal Oncology, fueling her pioneering work in Skeletal Radiology. Originally trained as an Orthopaedic Surgeon, she proudly holds dual graduation from the prestigious Royal College of Radiologists and Surgeons, England and the Royal College of Radiologists, UK. Currently,

Dr. Isaac is an esteemed Associate Professor at King's College London's School of Biomedical Imaging and Imaging Sciences. in KCL her research focuses on medical Artificial Intelligence and its revolutionary applications to Spinal surgery and Intervention. Her research contributions include being an editor for the ESSR sports wrist and hand imaging book and contributing to over 75 papers in peer reviewed journals.

Throughout her career, Dr. Isaac has shown unwavering dedication to interdisciplinary translational research, securing an unimpeachable track record in academia. This commitment is reflected in her influential roles on the Executive Council of the British Society of Skeletal Radiologists and the Executive Committee of the European Society of Skeletal Radiologists. Furthermore, she's is a proactive member of the International Skeletal Society EDI committee and serves as a co- chair to the EDI committee in her hospital, serving over 2000 consultants and over 75,000 employees of diverse backgrounds.

Dr. Isaac's invaluable contributions to Clinical Governance are nationally acknowledged. She is instrumental in developing national guidelines and strategies, formulating multidisciplinary patient care pathways, and spearheading numerous healthcare quality improvement projects and is a NICE expert on arthritis imaging and AI applications in Fracture detection.

In her clinical work, Dr. Isaac is Imaging Lead for Hip, Wrist, and Hand Services at one of Europe's largest specialized centers. Her fervour for education is underscored by her affiliations with the Educational Committee of BASEM, the clinical AI group of the Alan Turing Institute, and the RCR AI committee. Her memberships in organizations like ISS (the international society of skeletal radiology), ESSR (the European society of skeletal radiology), BSSR (the British society of skeletal radiologists), ISMRM (International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine), and ESR (the European society of radiology), as well as affiliations with the Educational Committee of BASEM,(the British association of sports and exercise medicine) show her continued commitment to our field.

Amanda is quite proud of her Egyptian and middle eastern heritage and contributes regularly to education in the MENA region. Dr. Amanda Isaac's work in radiology and medicine reflects a steady dedication to her profession and a focus on continued growth and innovation.
