As a palliative medicine trainee and PhD candidate Amelia is passionate about ensuring quality and equity in palliative care. Having completed an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship in Palliative Medicine at the CSI, she is delighted to be supported by Cicely Saunders International to continue my research. Her PhD focuses on enhancing the validity, reliability, and cultural responsiveness of the Integrated Palliative care Outcome Scale (IPOS). She aims to ensure that patient-reported outcome measures are both inclusive and meaningful across cultural and social contexts. She aspires to integrate research and clinical insight to ensure that outcome measures reflect the diverse experiences of all patients, especially those from underserved communities.
