Dr Amelia Moore
Research Fellow in Osteoporosis
Amelia’s research involves the use of 18F-fluoride positron emission tomography (PET) as a non-invasive imaging technique for quantifying new bone formation, an important outcome in studies of patients with osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases. Amelia is a member of the Royal Osteoporosis Society Bone Densitometry Advisory Panel and lectures on the National Training Scheme Bone Densitometry course. She was awarded the ‘Shinestrong Award’ in 2015 by Baroness Karren Brady CBE in association with Pantene, and a Health Award Finalist at the 2017 WISE Technology and Engineering Award Ceremony.
