Biography
Andres Romero is a Quantitative Researcher in the Evidence Development and Incubation Team (EDIT) at The Policy Institute.
His work focuses on the quantitative evaluation of public policies and social programmes, using econometric and causal inference methods. His research has applications in areas including homelessness, labour markets, informal markets, and youth employment and education.
Prior to joining The Policy Institute, Andres worked in economic consulting and policy analysis, delivering macroeconomic analysis, sectoral research, and policy evaluations for public and private sector clients. His work included projects for international organisations such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Latin American Reserve Fund (FLAR), WWF, and USAID.
He holds an MSc in Political Science and Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), a BSc in Economics from the National University of Asunción, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Project Management from San Ignacio del Loyola University.
