Consultant Haematologist

Biography

Andrew Doyle has been a consultant haematologist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust since 2022.

He specialises in diagnosing and treating thrombotic conditions in the haemostasis and thrombosis centre at St Thomas' Hospital.

He is a member of Guy's and St Thomas' thrombosis and thromboprophylaxis committee.

He is interested in improving clinical research experience for doctors in training.

Education and training

Andrew studied medicine at the University of Manchester and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

He completed a BSc degree in biomedical sciences at Imperial College London.

His clinical training was at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

He completed a post-training fellowship in thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) and thrombotic microangiopathies at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists.

Research interests

Andrew is interested in thrombotic conditions and optimising anticoagulation management.

He has conducted research into bleeding and thrombosis in critical illness and extracorporeal circuits with Guy's and St Thomas' critical care team. He actively participates in clinical research trials in these areas.
