Dr Anna Collini
Lecturer in Medical Education
Anna joined King's in 2021, her role involves supporting students on the Extended Medical Degree Programme (EMDP) and teaching clinical communication. She is the Lead for the MBBS Conference Scheme and Chair of the MBBS Prizes Panel. Anna has a clinical background, having worked as a doctor in Emergency Medicine prior to moving into academia. She has completed a MA in Education for Clinical Contexts, publishing her dissertation research which explored how doctors experience uncertainty. She is currently studying for a PhD in Medical Education at King’s, looking at how medical students conceptualise and construct their professional ideals in the context of their personal identities, and how this influences professional identity formation. Anna's academic interests also include clinical communication, widening participation, and wellbeing.
