Biography
Annie Howitt is the Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement Officer for the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences at King’s College London, where she supports researchers to involve patients in their research. She chairs the School's PPI group, as well as the King's Health Partners Digital Health Hub's group.
Before joining King's in 2024, Annie worked as Senior Communities officer at the charity Sense about Science, where she led their public engagement and community involvement work. She has a PhD from University of Cambridge, where she investigated the origins of pancreatic cancer, and a BSc in Biochemistry from Imperial College London.
