Biography
Antonino Zito is a Research Assistant within the Regulatory Genomics Research Group at the Department of Twin Research & Genetic Epidemiology. During his PhD, he used bioinformatics to investigate the roles of chromosome X in women's ageing and how genetic and environmental factors influence this process. Currently, his main interest is to identify genes escaping chromosome X silencing, and characterize their variability across immune cells, tissues, and female twin pairs.
