Biography

My thesis will be mixed methods investigating the experiences of siblings with a brother or sister with an eating disorder (ED). Despite the huge effect EDs have on the lives of sufferers and their families, there has been little research on the effect an ED has on siblings even though their lives are repeatedly affected by the situation. The intention is to explore siblings’ experiences because this is an understudied area, this group of individuals are under-represented, and their needs have been overlooked

Before starting at King’s College London, I completed my BSc in Forensic Psychology at Kingston University, where I also started my PhD before transferring to KCL. I have worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at both Kingston University and KCL on Research Methods and Psychology and Society Modules. I have also co-supervised Level 6 dissertation students with statistics and have provided guest lectures on Forensic Psychology modules. I have also been awarded an Associate Fellowship of Higher Education (AFHEA).
