A visionary doctor with over 10 years of experience in implementing large-scale health infrastructure and mobilising integrated networks within vulnerable communities globally. Aqil leads two multi-award-winning organisations: the Maternal Aid Association (MAA), a non-profit that offers free maternal care to 500,000 people in South East Asia, and Gravida, a MedTech start-up designing "AI doctors" in resource-limited settings supported by the Bangladesh Government.

His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to healthcare innovation in global health have led to sustainable contributions, including leading a team of 250 healthcare professionals, promoting global health activism in 60 universities and encouraging students alone to raise over $1 million through public fundraising. In recognition of his achievements, he was honoured with the King’s College London Distinguished Alumni Award in Global Health.
