Biography
Arshadur Rahman is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Qatar Centre for Global Banking & Finance with over 20 years’ experience in financial services, regulation and central banking, and Islamic finance. He holds a Masters in Finance from the London Business School, and is a doctoral researcher at the Dickson Poon School of Law at King’s College London.
Arshadur’s research interests include central bank liquidity facilities, prudential regulation, Islamic banking and business strategy, liquidity in sukuk markets, operational impediments to takaful, and Shari’ah compliant derivatives and risk management. More generally, he is interested in the potential of alternative financial paradigms for broader social benefit.
