Ashley joined the King’s Foundations team in September 2026.

He leads on quality assurance activity for all programmes within King’s Foundation, including the International Foundation programmes, Pre-sessional English, and the Academic Skills programme.

Ashley has considerable experience in quality assurance and teaching and learning administration, having spent most of his career at UCL in a range of Faculty and Registry roles. This included leading UCL’s academic quality and policy team and leading on quality and student experience for the Faculties of Arts and Humanities and Social and Historical Sciences. He has also held roles in small and specialist and independent providers.

Ashley holds a BA in Philosophy from Heythrop College, University of London.

Professionally, Ashley is interested in learning design, people-centred process design, and peer development. Outside of work, he is interested in sustainability and nature restoration, and is a keen walker, reader, and (very amateur) gardener.
