Biography

Athina Servi is a Research Assistant working in Dr Lauren Heathcote's team at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King’s College London. She has a background in Biomedical Sciences (University College London, BSc) and Neuroscience (Imperial College London, MSc), while she is also pursuing a Psychology (Conversion) MSc (University of Glasgow).

In her role as a Research Assistant, she supports cutting-edge research programmes investigating the psychology of pain and physical symptoms in children and adults living with chronic conditions such as allergies, chronic pain, and cancer survivors.

The research programme she works on also has a focus on developing and testing novel interventions, including a digital mindset intervention for childhood cancer survivors with pain and interoceptive training in people who have had or are living with breast cancer for brain-body integration.
