Biography

Barry Crook was appointed in January 2016 as the Faculty Resource Manager for the Faculty. Mr Crook is responsible for the provision of strategic leadership for technical and laboratory services within the Faculty and to oversee the development and delivery of the technical services and facilities that enables world class research and teaching. Furthermore, Mr Crook has the lead responsibility for business continuity planning, financial management, procurement, and oversee the implementation of health and safety policies and process within the Faculty, as well as championing sustainability and wellbeing.

 

Barry Crook joined the Faculty with 7 years’ experience in the higher education sector covering the management of research and teaching delivery and 14 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical sector where he successfully led a drug discovery programme and project specific teams. He is a master’s graduate in Molecular Biology and is qualified in occupational health and safety through IoSH and NEBOSH.
