Senior Student Experience Officer

Biography

Bel McIntosh is a Senior Student Experience Officer in the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Engineering Sciences, King’s College London. In this role she works as part of the student experience team delivering a programme of student engagement activities, events and initiatives that are focused on measuring and enhancing the students’ experience within the faculty.

Bel has worked in both the private and public sectors, latterly in secondary education as the Head of Admissions & Year 7 Transition. She was also a project manager during the Covid pandemic, designing and delivering testing projects for 2 large secondary schools. Prior to this Bel worked in television advertising sales, managing the business relationships of a large agency portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the module evaluation process
  • Delivering an effective student representative recruitment process, and ongoing support for reps within the faculty
  • Supporting the sharing of good practice and development of Staff-Student Liaison Committees
  • Developing and supporting student experience projects in the Faculty
  • Working to create the fortnightly student bulletin/KEATs and email content to promote events and opportunities to NMES students
  • Managing and coordinating the annual rollover, review and updating of department student handbooks, working closely with departmental staff and other relevant teams
