Berna Dincer is an academic and nurse with over 19 years of experience in adult health and diabetes nursing. She completed her MSc (2013) and PhD (2018) in Medical Nursing at Marmara University, specializing in patient-centered approaches and mobile health applications in diabetes care.

Since 2013, she has been working at Istanbul Medeniyet University, Department of Nursing, Internal Medicine Nursing, and has served as an Associate Professor since 2020. Between 2021 and 2024, she held the position of Vice Dean at the Faculty of Health Sciences, in addition to her membership in various commissions and research centers.

Her research interests include diabetes management, diabetic foot, patient education, complementary therapies, elderly care, and digital health solutions. She actively supervises master’s and doctoral theses and takes part as a researcher in several national and international projects, particularly within the European COST framework.

She has published extensively in SCI/SSCI-indexed journals and is actively engaged in European COST projects as a researcher.
