Biography
Bernadette Khoshaba is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London.
Her research interests span public health, with a focus on social inequalities, health equity, and digital inclusion. She is passionate about research that brings about meaningful, real-world improvements in access to healthcare and technology.
She completed her PhD on developing a patient-derived disease activity score in rheumatoid arthritis, integrating clinical measures with patient-reported outcomes. She has also contributed to research on inflammatory bowel disease, cardiovascular risk, and self-management strategies, with several peer-reviewed publications.
Previously, she worked as a Research Design Advisor for the NIHR Research Design Service (now the NIHR Research Support Service), supporting researchers in developing high-quality, fundable studies across a range of health topics.
She has also been active in teaching, delivering postgraduate training in principles of social research, critical appraisal, and systematic review, and tutoring undergraduate BSc students.
