Biography

Dr Caitlin Medlock is a clinical academic nurse with a joint role as Lecturer and Programme Lead for the MSc/PGDip/PGCert in Clinical Research Delivery at King's College London, and Clinical Academic Nurse Researcher at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. She is also an NIHR Senior Research Leader (Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals).

She holds a BSc in Adult Nursing from King's College London, an MSc in Evidence-Based Healthcare from the University of Oxford, and a PhD in Palliative Care from University College London.

Her clinical background spans research delivery, critical care, and emergency nursing. Her clinical and academic work now centres on building research capacity and culture across the healthcare workforce. Alongside this, Caitlin conducts research on prognostication in advanced cancer, with particular emphasis on evaluating the impact of providing a prognosis to people living with advanced cancer.
