Dr Cara Heppell is a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at King's College London.

She is an Ophthalmology Specialty Trainee in the East of England Deanery. 

Her research focuses on epidemiology and risk factors for inflammatory eye disease.

She graduated in Medicine from King's College London in 2023. She completed her Foundation Year Training in South London, undertaking placements at University Hospital Lewisham (2023–2024) and St Thomas' Hospital (2024–2025).

She was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate with distinction in Genomic Medicine from Queen Mary University of London in 2025.
