Biography

Profile

After having completed a BSc in Mathematics and Applications at the University "Amedeo Avogadro" ( Alessandria), I attended the international Master in Physics of Complex Systems organized by Politecnico di Torino in collaboration with SISSA (Trieste), and universities of Paris 6, 7 and 11. Both my BSc and MSc final projects involved developing analytical results for quantum systems using the fundamental tools of quantum statistical mechanics; during my master’s project I treated matters of quench dynamics, integrability and thermalization properties of quantum systems.

From these experiences I developed a strong interest for topics at the interface between statistical physics and condensed matter in both the theoretical and numerical approaches. The Canes program, with its multidisciplinary features, allowed me to enlarge my knowledges in the theoretical aspects of non equilibrium systems and at the same time to learn numerical and simulation techniques.

Cross-Disciplinary Approaches to Non-Equilibrium Systems (CANES)

The mission of CANES is to train future research leaders in the understanding, control and design of systems far from equilibrium, based on rigorous training in theoretical modelling, simulation and data-driven analysis, and a breadth of awareness of common themes across disciplines.
