Biography

Caroline van Hensbergen is a Senior Lecturer in Law (Education) at The Dickson Poon School of Law. She studied Jurisprudence at Oxford University before being called to the Bar, then worked as an intern at the Louisiana Capital Assistance Center in New Orleans, USA doing death penalty defence work.  She also worked as assistant to the late Sir Christopher Staughton, a retired UK Court of Appeal judge. 

Caroline then completed an internship at The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina where she assisted with the prosecution of some of the individuals involved in the Srebrenica massacre before taking up pupillage in London and practising as a barrister.   She worked at BPP University for over a decade where she held numerous roles including Module Leader for Contract Law.
