Biography

Dr Charles Scott joined the Booth research group at King's College London as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in August 2019, following completion of a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry at the University of Cambridge. He also has a BA and MSci in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge, specialising in Chemistry.

Research interests

  • Development of novel methods to accurately simulate extended systems of interacting electrons and nuclei from first principles
  • Recovery of two-body properties from quantum embedding approaches, which often focus on a single-particle representation of an extended system, by computational necessity.
