Biography

Dr Charlotte Fraza joined King's College London in 2026 as a researcher at the Artificial Intelligence in Mental Health (AIM) lab working together with Dr Paris Alexandros Lalousis (Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence in Mental Health) and Professor Nikolaos Koutsouleris (Chair of Precision Psychiatry) to create individualised machine learning models for understanding psychosis and depression.

She began her academic journey with a BSc in Theoretical Physics at Utrecht University, graduating in 2015. She subsequently pursued interdisciplinary postgraduate training through the Erasmus+ COSI programme, studying computer science and colour science across multiple institutions in Europe and Japan. She later obtained an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience from Radboud University, graduating cum laude, before completing her PhD cum laude at the Donders Institute together with Professor Andre Marquand and Professor Christian Beckmann, where her research focused on precision psychiatry and individualized brain modelling.

Her current areas of expertise include machine learning in psychiatry, specifically bayesian methods for individualised prediction (normative modelling), and general statistical methods for neuroimaging.
