Biography

Chloe is a socio-legal researcher who uses discourse methods to understand different environments. She started her career in psychology investigating counselling practices in drug and alcohol support groups, using conversation analysis. With both personal and professional experience as a carer Chloe became interested in improving the lives of older people through policy research. She recently completed a PhD in law investigating how people living with dementia and their carers are affected by mental capacity law in England and Wales. Chloe is working with the NIHR Applied Research Collaborative (ARC) South London team at the Unit on national social care ARC projects starting with a review of the James Lind Alliance Research Priorities for Adult Social Work.
