Biography
Christopher Procyk is a Research Associate at King’s College London in the Centre for Gene Therapy and Regenerative Medicine.
His research is focused on visual neuroscience and regenerative medicine, with a particular emphasis on electrophysiological recordings to evaluate the efficacy of cell-based therapies to restore vision in inherited retinal degenerations.
His work focuses on understanding the mechanisms by which visual function can be recovered in advanced stages of disease, as well as methods to enhance neural connectivity in the host retina. This research bridges preclinical models and translational medicine, aiming to restore sight and improve quality of life for those affected by retinal diseases.
