Biography
Clare is responsible for the leadership and management of department operations to ensure a high quality, professional administrative service and the efficient day-to-day running of the department. She is a member, ex officio, of all departmental committees to ensure standardisation of information. Her role includes:
- Working closely with the Head of Departmental Operations, Head of Department and departmental professional services staff to agree and implement standards for departmental and programme administration
- Ensuring administrative support for all departmental activities
- Leading, managing and developing the Engineering professional services team
- Developing strategies and initiatives to improve support to Head of Department, academic staff and students
- Ensuring a robust department level infrastructure for teaching and research
- Ensuring the effective running of operations in conjunction with central offices including Registry Services, The Compass, the Study Abroad Office and the Admissions Centre.
- Providing advice and assistance to ensure effective completion and compliance with regulations and policy
