
Connie Woollen
Research Assistant
Biography
Connie is a Research Assistant at the Evidence Development and Incubation Team (EDIT). She has extensive experience in qualitative research, with a focus on participatory and deliberative methods, and researching with vulnerable groups.
Prior to joining the Policy Institute, Connie worked as an analyst at the National Audit Office, as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at King’s with a focus on British Politics, and as a Parliamentary Researcher. Each of these roles have led her to develop an in-depth understanding of the workings of British politics, in theory and in practice.
Connie has a PhD from King’s College London on Brexit attitudes in London and the intersections of social class, gender, race and citizenship. Her academic peer-reviewed work on MPs’ positions on Brexit, and lobbying in the UK, has been published in journals and in print, and she has contributed to numerous social research and government reports.
