Dr Conor Horgan

Biography

Conor received his BEng. Degree in Biomedical Engineering and his BSc. Degree in Computer Science from the Australian National University and his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London. His background spans biomedical engineering, computer vision, and machine learning, focusing on the development of systems combining aspects of each of these fields. For his Ph.D., he developed a number of multimodal fibreoptic systems that combine Raman spectroscopy and computer vision for clinical oncological applications. He is currently employed as a postdoctoral research associate in the label-free bioimaging laboratory at King’s College London, working on the development of biomedical optical systems for a variety of clinical applications.
