Costanza Azzini
Ariel Mission Consortium Policy Officer
Biography
Costanza Azzini is the Ariel Mission Consortium Policy Officer in the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Engineering Sciences at King’s College London.
The Ariel Mission Consortium is an international cooperation leading the development and science return of ARIEL, an outer space mission designed to study the atmospheres of 1000 exoplanets. The consortium includes more than 600 members from 16 European countries, together with CSA, JAXA and NASA.
Costanza is an Associate of King’s College London (AKC) and holds a BA in International Relations from Department of War Studies at King's and an MSc in International Relations and Diplomacy from Leiden University. She is also currently pursuing a PhD in space policy with the London Space Policy and Law Institute (ISPL) and the University of London’s School of Advanced Studies.
Responsibilities:
- Working on producing and updating the Mission Consortium’s policy documents such as the data and publication policy
- Maintaining an overview of geopolitical developments relevant to the mission
- Supporting the international relations at the heart of the cooperation
- Coordinating with the Communication Officer for publications, events and government relations
