Biography
Dan started as Head of Technical Services for the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine in May 2022. His main areas of responsibility include: Strategic and operational planning for technical services and operations; Resource management (including technical services staff, space and finance); Campus-based operational support for research and education; Health and safety governance and management; Technical services support for practical education; and financial services. Dan is the technical lead for FoLSM and interfaces with technical leads across other Faculties and Directorates to build effective technical services structures and support and contributing to University-wide initiatives.
Dan has an MSc in Biochemistry and a PhD in Vascular Medicine and has previously worked as a School Technical Manager, Laboratory Manager, Administrator and Technician in the School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine and Sciences.
