Biography

Daniel joined King's in Feb 2020 as the Senior Communications Manager responsible for King's Alumni communications until Sep 2021. In 2021, he took on the new role of Senior Communications Manager for the Faculty of Arts & Humanities.

Prior to joining King's, Daniel worked as a broadcast journalist for ITN, ITV, the Press Association and many more. 

Daniel holds an MA in Television Journalism, from Goldsmiths College, University of London. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and holds Media Law qualifications from both the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC) and the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ). 

Daniel is also a lead author of the new King's AI Communications Policy.

The Senior Communications Manager leads the Faculty's communications team and is responsible for all output from the Faculty. They are responsible for all news, features, media, production, websites, social media and newsletters that engage with staff, students, partners, and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the output and external reputation of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities.
  • Manage a six-strong communications team.
  • Oversight of all communications channels, including: 14 websites, 20+ social media accounts, email newsletters and 100s of news stories and events every year.
  • Develop new feature ideas, write news stories and press releases.
  • Providing guidance on branding, media work, events marketing and University communications policy.
  • Working closely with Faculty leadership on staff, student and external messaging.
