
Biography
Dan O’Meara is the Senior Digital Education Manager for the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical and Engineering Sciences, King’s College London. In this role he manages the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) team, oversees digital education projects and supports technology-enhanced learning and teaching initiatives across the faculty and its five constituent departments.
He has previously worked in academic and professional service roles in Higher Ed in both the US and UK. Before joining King’s, he served as Programme Director at Richmond American University London and prior to this he worked at the US-UK Fulbright Commission.
Dan holds a PhD in Musicology from Princeton University and a BS in Mathematics and Music History & Analysis from Northeastern University. He is a member of the Association for Learning Technology (ALT).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Faculty’s Digital Education Strategy
- Manage and lead on digital education projects and processes
- Support key technologies within the Faculty, including KEATS, lecture capture and e-assessment
- Train academic and professional services staff on Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) systems and practices
- Analyse data on digital education within the Faculty
