Biography

'I did my Bachelors degree in Physics at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” discussing a thesis on Random Graphs ensemble and have an MSc from the same university. During my master I focused on Statistical Mechanics fascinated by its flexibility to solve problems from a lot of disciplines with the same methodologies. In the last year and in my thesis I got interested in biophysics problems and that got me to understand the importance of a multidisciplinary research environment. So I applied to CANES.

I like a lot the organization of the CANES spaces and resources. They allow students to grow together as a community sharing knowledge and improving their problem solving abilities.'

Davide Bianchi is now a PhD student in the Department of Informatics.

Cross-Disciplinary Approaches to Non-Equilibrium Systems (CANES)

The mission of CANES is to train future research leaders in the understanding, control and design of systems far from equilibrium, based on rigorous training in theoretical modelling, simulation and data-driven analysis, and a breadth of awareness of common themes across disciplines.
