Derrick Sang

Derrick is the ICT Officer at the Nairobi office of the African Leadership Centre (ALC). In this role, he ensures that the ICT systems are up and running. He is responsible for the LAN and WAN administration, installation, maintenance, service and troubleshooting of all technology equipment. He provides user support to fellows and lecturers to maximize productivity and ensure adherence to information system standards across the ALC network.

Prior to joining the ALC, Derrick worked at KCA University, Kenya as the ICT Support Assistant. He provided support to students and lecturers using Moodle; the e-learning platform.At Mhasibu Sacco Society Limited, he oversaw the migration and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics (Navision) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System from QuickBooks. He also offered training and support to the end users of the newly installed ERP system.

Derrick holds a BSc Information Technology degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology as well as an Advanced Diploma in Computer Electronics Engineering from City & Guilds (UK).
